+ many christians have been arrested

I am grateful to you all for being with us at this critical time. We, in Youhanabad are going through many temptations so certainly we need your moral and spiritual support to rise again in faith and love of God.

Now a few updates from Youhanabad is as below:

+ the rangers are outside the Youhanabad and the police is in all the streets and corners.

+till 10 am the shops are open .

+ morning Holy Mass in being celebrated.

I am presently at Youhanabad  since 2 years, I am working in St John's Boys school Youhanabad. Catholic Church is situated on the same road of my school. Fortunately or unfortunately the blast just happened outside the gate in both the churches. The local security guards of the both churches were brave enough that they didn't allow suicide boomers to let in the church .

Sacred Heart Catholic Church had called an emergency meeting of the religious leadership of all churches in the city on Sunday evening. Thus, All Churches Council Sahiwal was formed which organized a protest rally to show solidarity with the victims of Brutal Terrorist attack on two churches in Youhandabad, Lahore. The initial meeting was attended by about 75 religious leaders, social and political activists.

Two bomb blasts have killed at least 14 people near two churches in a Christian neighborhood of the Pakistani city of Lahore, local officials say.

More than 70 people were hurt in the explosions, which targeted worshippers attending Sunday mass at the churches in the Youhanabad area. Violent protests erupted after the blasts, with a mob killing two men accused of involvement in the attacks.

Pakistan's Christian community has often been targeted by militants. An offshoot of the Pakistan Taliban, calling itself Jamatul Ahrar, has said it carried out the attack.

It’s a privilege to share my feelings with the global Pax Romana family. Since 2009, Pax Romana has played a huge role in my development in so many ways. Both IMCS and  ICMICA have contributed to the polishing and sharpening of my skills at all levels especially in the field of human rights and social justice. From jointly seeking complex answers to complex questions to writing skype meeting minutes, I have indeed come a long way with the Pax Romana family. The ICMICA family has always guided and journeyed with me consistently. Even though we were not able to meet physically often as a big family, skype meetings were organized to bring us together and share about various local and global issues, and this being faithful to the mission and vision of ICMICA.

ICMICA also journeyed with me during the very difficult times in my life especially when I was terminated unjustly from my position as a Project Coordinator at Catholic Women Organization in 2014.

Sahiwal: International Women's Day  is a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future Active Youth Group celebrated the International Day of women’s in Sahiwal region on March 08, 2015. Sahiwal - The Pakistani government must take "immediate steps" to stop abuses related to the country's blasphemy laws, and punish those found guilty of making false accusations out of revenge or in order to settle personal scores.

The government must take charge of security in order to prevent outbreaks of mob violence and attacks incited by local religious leaders and extremist groups.
