Christmas Celebration among MCGP Sri Lanka members

On 28th December 2022, MCGP Sri Lanka decided to come together to celebrate the nativity of Christ. The event saw the participation of 35 members. The program started with the observation of one minute silence to pay respect to late Rev.Fr. Chrispin Leo, the Chaplain of MCGP Sri Lanka. We also remembered the loved ones who entered to eternal life during this year.
This was followed by the singing Carols and the annual report presentation by the  President Maxwell Ranasingha. The members proposed the name of Rev. Fr. Santha Sagara Hettiarachchi as the new Chaplain of MCGP Sri Lanka. A few representative had a few verbal meeting with him and he is willing work with the movement. However, this should be informed to the Catholic Bishop Conference and get their final approval.

It has been noted that most of the members are retired from their jobs and wanted to continue with more fellowship programmes to keep them occupied. They also emphasized the importance of involving in social actions especially supporting the MCGP members who are directly involved in social actions.

Finally the members unanimously decided same office bearers to continue for this year.
Mr. Maxwell Ranasingha continue as President, Aruna Shantha Nonis  will continue as General Secretary and  Mr. Titus Fernando serve as Treasurer.

Then the fellowship continued with singing, dancing and sharing each others’ life achievements.
